Afiá Sharlene McFarland Suá is a Chartered Accountant and Director of SUÁ & Associates (formerly SUÁ ma PAUGA), bringing over two decades of professional experience in accounting, auditing, and corporate leadership across the Pacific region.

Sharlene graduated from Lincoln University, New Zealand, in 1996 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). She began her career as an Auditor with Coopers & Lybrand, which later transitioned to Betham & Co, gaining a strong foundation in public accounting and assurance services.

Her career advanced into the corporate sector when she joined Asia City Trust as Finance Manager, before moving to Pacific Forum Line in 2000. At Pacific Forum Line, Sharlene served first as Finance Manager and later rose to become Chief Executive Officer, overseeing the company’s strategic and financial operations across multiple Pacific markets.

Following her tenure as CEO, Sharlene transitioned back into professional services, joining SUÁ & PAUGA in 2005 now known as SUÁ & Associates—where she continues to lead with expertise in financial management, corporate governance, and strategic advisory.
